Simon Costello, Treasurer

Simon Costello is the former Director of Children Youth and Family Services at the Los Angeles LGBT Center. The Center’s programs and services for LGBTQ youth experiencing homelessness, include a 7-day-a-week drop-in center, a 40-bed emergency shelter, a 52-bed transitional living program, and a Youth Academy encompassing education, employment and youth development programming. The LifeWorks program provides one-on-one mentoring and youth development programs for at-home and at-school LGBTQ youth. The RISE program provides services to LGBTQ youth in foster care with the goal of strengthening family connections and improving permanency outcomes for young persons in systems of care. A passion of Simon’s is the development, implementation and evaluation of programs that achieve meaningful outcomes for youth including innovative education, employment, and youth development programs.

Simon has served on the City of Los Angeles Workforce Development Board's Youth Council and as a board member of the California Coalition for Youth. He has also served as a board member and vice president of the Hollywood Media District, Business Improvement District.
