Khan Watson

Director of Interim Housing

Khan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Safe Place for Youth (SPY) with 15-plus years of experience in the Social Service sector. Prior to working with SPY, she was a Health Program Analyst III for the COVID-19 Education Prevention Unit with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. In this position, she supervised the School Technical Assistance Team (STAT). The STAT was responsible for the safe reopening of schools TK-12 for 86 school districts within L. A. County during COVID-19. Khan also worked as a Children's Social Worker II in the Medical Case Management Section of the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. Prior to that, Khan was the Project Director at Cloverfield Services Center, one of several Interim Housing Programs under The People Concern. Khan has a passion for supporting organizational growth and learning.

Khan is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Southern California, Rossier School of Education working on an Ed.D in Organizational Change and Leadership. She earned a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Mount St. Mary's University in Los Angeles.
