Safe Place for Youth is an official partner of The LA 5k!
The LA 5K will take place on March 7, 2026. This family-friendly 5K is open to participants of all ages and abilities, including runners, walkers and strollers. Experience an iconic run through Los Angeles as you run through beautiful Elysian Park before a rewarding finish set against the backdrop of world-famous Dodger Stadium.
SPY's mission is to prevent and end youth homelessness through supportive services, sustainable housing opportunities, community collaboration, and advocacy. Your fundraising efforts directly support our street outreach, Drop-In Center, and housing programs, ensuring that youth have the resources they need to build a self-directed and thriving life.

How to Sign-Up

Step 1: Sign Up! Visit our registration portal to secure your spot on the team. Step 2: Kickstart your fundraiser! During the application process you'll be asked to make a gift to kickstart your fundraiser. As a reminder, the minimum fundraising goal is $150.00 but we encourage folks to set a fundraising goal that is meaningful to them! Step 3: Get Approved! Your application will be sent to our fundraising team who will approve you within 48-72 hours. Step 4: Fundraise! Personalize your fundraising page and share your "why" with friends, family, and colleagues. We'll help you out with our fundraising toolkit. Step 5: Train & Race! Train for your event, and we'll cheer you on every step of the way to the finish line!
