Dean Miya was born and raised in Venice. He graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors in Economics and started in the banking sector. After deciding finance was not for him, Dean returned to school for a Masters in Computer Science. He worked as a programmer and coder for over 20 years, 7 years as the manager of IT for various companies and 5 years as the Director of Computer Research and Development for Sony Pictures. However, Dean still wanted to widen his circle of compassion. He was a long time volunteer for SPY and when offered the opportunity to help guide the technical infrastructure of SPY, he said he found his home. Contact Dean.
