Jelani Franklin, Secretary
Jelani Franklin is Controller at Seiler, LLP where he services ultra-high net worth individuals and families. Jelani brings more than 15 years of accounting and financial experience working in the entertainment, private equity, and family office environments.
Jelani made a shift to single-family and multi-family office spaces after a 7-year turn focused on private equity. This shift allowed him to hone his investment and accounting expertise on cultivating healthy professional relationships as a trusted advisor to individual clients. As Senior Manager of Private Client Services at EY LLP, Jelani supported some of the most influential and accomplished families in the world.
Previously, Jelani led the accounting operations for multiple private equity and venture capital opportunities at Saban Capital Group, LLC. There, he managed the accounting and cash management functions, as well as reporting and budget analysis for related private foundations of their family office.
Jelani began his career working as an accountant in a postsecondary film and music school located in Hollywood. He then transitioned to work for a leading worldwide developer and publisher in the video game industry, where he managed the development costs for the full portfolio of products across multiple lines and divisions. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona.
