Mary McGuire

Chief Impact Officer

Mary McGuire has worked for twenty-plus years in the non-profit and government sectors to strengthen the systems that protect the most marginalized members of society. She has held leadership roles in organizations including Village for Vets, GLAAD, Freedom House, and Declare Yourself, advocating for the rights of Veterans, women, LGBTQIA+ youth, ethnic minorities, human rights defenders, and journalists facing political persecution.

Most recently, Mary was Executive Director of Village for Vets, a Los Angeles nonprofit that fills gaps in services for Veterans experiencing homelessness or at-risk of experiencing homelessness. Mary oversaw amazing growth in the size and scope of Village for Vets programming and increased the revenue and infrastructure needed to support that growth. She is a passionate supporter of housing as a human right and believes that together we can end homelessness in Los Angeles.

Mary is an avid traveler and dog mom to Beto, her adorable chihuahua mix. In her spare time, Mary enjoys hiking or spending time at the beach in Los Angeles and keeping her passport from getting too dusty.
