Michelle San Juan serves as the Director of Access and Engagement at Safe Place for Youth. Michelle San Juan is an experienced nonprofit leader with over a decade of expertise in advancing housing, crisis intervention, and family service programs throughout Los Angeles County. She served as the Senior Housing Programs Manager at Safe Place for Youth, where she oversaw daily operations, ensured compliance, and engaged in strategic planning for transitional housing programs that support youth experiencing homelessness. In her previous roles as a Director at Helpline Youth Counseling and WomenShelter of Long Beach, Michelle led multidisciplinary teams, managed complex grants, and established lasting partnerships with government agencies and community organizations. She has a strong background in trauma-informed care, crisis response, and program development, coupled with a deep commitment to equity and authentic youth partnership.
