OUR APPROACH
Safe Place for Youth prioritizes low barriers for entry, harm-reduction, a trauma-informed approach, and the provision of a safe, supportive environment. We do this through a continuum of care that includes street outreach, access center services, case management, health and wellness, and education and employment programs.
OUR VALUES
Safe Place for Youth was founded by community members out of a dire need for supportive services for youth experiencing, or at-risk of experiencing homelessness in West LA. As a community organization first and foremost, our mission is to empower young people experiencing homelessness to thrive by providing lasting solutions that address racial and social inequity.
In order to move our mission forward, SPY is guided by these overarching organizational values.
